No two projects are the same, but our process has served us and our clients well across all of our website builds.
Studio One’s website design approach has been tested and refined over 10 years, spanning many different industries.
We’re a Missouri web design company, but we work with clients around the country.
1. Discovery & Strategy
We start by building our understanding of your business. We work closely with you to learn about your services and needs.
A website strategy aligns with the website’s proposed structure, content, and features with business goals. It’s where we make high-level decisions about the direction of the website.
2. Design & SEO
Design is where the hard work really starts to pay off. Some of our clients have strict brand guidelines, while others are looking for guidance on how to define or reimagine their brand – we’re equally comfortable working with both.
Search Engine Optimization is part of the fabric of an effective website, not an accessory. Body copy and images are formatted to include relevant keywords and terms. Additional recommendations may be offered.
After an initial design is developed, we work with you to get feedback and ensure the design direction is on course with what you’re looking for.
Once the design and development of your new website are complete, we plan out the launch to get it out in front of your customers and start driving in more business.
5. Website Care
Successful websites evolve. Even when your new website is up and drawing traffic, there’s always the need for updates and standard care. New content, theme updates, plugin and WordPress updates, troubleshooting… We have specialized options to meet your needs.

How much do you charge?
No two website projects are the same. We tailor your website project based on the needs of your business and will make recommendations for services we think are a good fit.
How long does it take?
Landing Page projects generally take about 2 weeks from the time we have all the content and a brief.
Full website projects generally take 4 weeks or more depending on the size of the site. The homepage design is sent after a week to establish the design direction.
Preview links are provided so that you can see the progress of the project and provide feedback.
Can you deliver the site under the standard time?
Yes, if you need it urgently, we can prioritize your project to meet your tight deadline for an extra fee, to be quoted at the time of your request.
Do you design mobile views?
All websites are responsive and optimized for desktop and mobile. Depending on the complexity of certain features, some aspects may not translate over mobile properly. In these cases, they are usually removed from the mobile view and replaced with a simplified version.
What if I don't like the new design?
Our goal is to give you designs that you love. If you like what you see in our portfolio and case studies, there is a high chance that you love what we design for you. We work with you during the design process to ensure the design is what you’re looking for, and we also ask for examples of sites that you like.
Each website project has a 30-day revision period to make design updates and changes after the date of the launch.
What about hosting?
We take care of the hosting (for an annual fee) using a world-class platform built on top of the Google Cloud Platform.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance?
Even when your new website is up and drawing traffic, there’s always the need for updates and standard care to ensure its continued performance and security. New content, theme updates, plugin and WordPress updates, troubleshooting… We have specialized options to meet your needs.
Do I need a domain?
We partner with GoDaddy as our preferred domain registrar and will work with you to get an account set up and domain purchased and connected to your website.
If you already have a domain with another registrar, we will either help you transfer it or configure it to work with our hosting servers.
Can I pay you at the end of the project?
A 50% deposit is required for all projects and is due before work begins. The remaining balance is due once the project is completed. Full payment is due before websites are published.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are our absolute last resort, however in the very unlikely event that you are not happy with the design and we have done everything we can to deliver the best product, then a refund may be provided.
Deposit fees are non-refundable.
Where are you based?
We are an American company based in Missouri, primarily serving clients in the greater Hannibal and Quincy, IL areas, though we are able to work with clients globally.
